Best Cold Plunge Chillers of 2026

A chiller turns any tub into an always-cold plunge — no ice runs, no scheduling around bag-melt. If you plunge 3+ times a week, the breakeven math says you should probably be on this page.

Sizing a chiller, in one paragraph

Horsepower maps to pulldown speed and tub size: 1/4 HP maintains a small, well-insulated tub but pulls down slowly; 1/2 HP is the standard pairing for ~100-gallon tubs; 1 HP serves big tubs, hot climates, or impatient owners. Insulation and a lid matter as much as horsepower — an uncovered tub in July makes any chiller look weak. Full build instructions in the DIY guide.
